Mani belongs to a family in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. He came to know about the program "Coaching for Victory" specially designed for the CRPF Army camp selection process. He enrolled with SAKSHAM to learn the Un-Armed Security Guard training program for 60 days of rigorous and exhausting field training. The training included outdoor fitness activities like 5 to 10 Km runs, long jumps, stretching exercises, Yoga and meditation to make oneself strong enough to perform the duty.
He was aware of the fact that without skill or expertise, there will be a question mark in sustainability to live. Hardship tried his luck and found what he was searching for a long. As soon as training was completed, he underwent the Army selection procedure. He successfully got selected as "Constable General Duty" in Hyderabad.
Firm determination and dedication led the part for Manikanta to achieve what he desired. His desire could have been left shuttered if he had missed the bus of choosing the right course at right time. "Skills that serve the Nation" is a tagline proved appropriately by Manikanta by his never-ending efforts.
